Hi. My name is Wendy. I came to know about Butterfly when I attended one of their Bingo fundraising evenings. After talking to Pauline and spending time in the bungalow I knew it was the place for me to put all my previous knowledge & experience to a worthwhile cause. I thought my physical challenges may have been problematic, it was not as I’m a great listener and compassion is the most important attribute needed. I came to a few social groups and knew it was where I belonged. I’ve been welcomed by all staff and volunteers and service users. I volunteer every Tuesday and step in on other days when extra help is needed. I enjoy supporting the team at fundraisers as and when I can because they are always a joy to be part of and fun is high on the agenda.
