Becoming a BEW Trustee
I became a Trustee of Butterfly Effect Wellbeing as a result of being ambushed in a pincer movement by Angela Hannibal and Kerrie Eastman. I was not so much asked to be a Trustee but instructed that it was happening and resistance was, as they say, futile!
I was aware of the activities and support the organisation provides and at its core is something close to my heart so it was not a difficult decision to agree to join the board. It’s a real pleasure to be involved in shaping the charity as it takes its next bold steps into the future.
The difference it makes is amazing, as are the staff and volunteers.
I have a long history in the performing arts in Harlow having performed in inumerable shows and concerts across the town for over 40 years. Just a few years back I became a Councillor for the ward of Netteswell. I love connecting with the many fantastic community organisations that serve and support our town.
I have a strong interest in mental health issues, particularly how it impacts the LGBTQ+ community.
My husband and I live in Harlow and are the servants of four pampered cats!
